Calex is a full-custom megayacht with exterior styling by Giorgio Cassetta.
Benetti has launched the 67m Calex in Livorno ahead of its scheduled delivery to its Californian owner. Featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the bespoke megayacht has exterior styling by Italian studio Cassetta, headed by Giorgio Cassetta.
Benetti’s Style Department handled the interiors, which feature extensive use of maple and American walnut, ivorycoloured leathers, marble and decorative cushions with Loro Piana Interiors fabrics.
Calex features five enclosed decks linked by a lift, as well as a sun deck. The beach club has a gullwing door that opens to illuminate the interior area, while a long, swingdown hatch to starboard provides access to the water and adds light.

Steps lead to the main deck and an open-air lounge aft, while the interior has a saloon, dining area, galley and two large VIP cabins. The lower deck has four guest cabins and accommodation for 16 crew featuring similar decor to guest areas.
The upper deck is dedicated to the owner and includes a large master cabin with an elegant double bathroom, a private office and walk-in wardrobe. Two curved, automatic sliding doors open onto an exclusive lounge furnished with chaise longues, armchairs, a table and an original gas fireplace.
The foredeck can also be used as a touch-and-go helicopter pad. Aft on the same deck is an interior lounge with a TV, and an open area with a dining table and seating area.
The bridge deck has an outdoor space containing a lounge area furnished with a bar, sofas, TV cabinet and barbecue and is served by a pantry, while forward is the captain’s cabin and wheelhouse with a touchscreen console designed by Telemar. The sun deck features gym equipment and a jacuzzi.
The propulsion is Benetti’s first on a full custom yacht this size to fully comply with Tier III regulations, so is fitted with a scrubbing system for the exhaust gases from the propulsion and power generating systems.
