Grand Soleil’s first cruising boat in the sea in 2015 was a turning point for the 46LC Italian shipyard. With more than 50 sales and 52 which is very popular among loyal buyers looking for more comfort by withdrawing from the racing arena, the shipyard had a success line. This new 42 proves that the Cantiere del Pardo shipyard has reached the right point again.
Designer Marco Lostruzzi explains at Cannes how he gained larger volumes, larger sailing area and better stability to 42 compared to his brothers. The result is a sporty boat with a higher sail-to-displacement ratio.
Internal volumes are also relatively larger; As Lostruzzi says, sections on the waterline are fuller and larger volumes are created on the stern shoulders. In the name of the floor plan, this design means there is plenty of room for three cabins (or two) and two bathrooms. Compared to 46, it only lacks in tank and storage capacities, but lowers the starting price.
Grand Soleil 42 LC, if desired, can be selected with a carbon arc while it is a mainland made of carbon. If this is not taken, the station is equipped from a single point. On main road, with pole wrapping system and flock automatic tack; all ropes are moved to cranes next to the rudders, making them the easiest to control.
