The Italian builder has launched Grande 36 Metri model, with the latter boasting a ‘never-before-seen feature!

Azimut has launched Grande 36 Metri model ahead of their official world premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival from September 6-11.

Grande 36 Metri features exterior design by Alberto Mancini and interior design by Achille Salvagni.

Grande 36 Metri, Azimut introduces a semi-walkaround, single-level upper deck that spans almost the full length of the main deck, described by the yard as a ‘never-before-seen feature’.

The central sky lounge has sliding glass doors, while the exterior has an all-glass hot tub and sundeck.

Grande 36 Metri features extensive use of carbon-fibre and vinyl ester resin that reduce the superstructure weight by 30 per cent, lowering the power and fuel required.

The Grande 36 Metri has a new evolution of the D2P® (Displacement to Planing) hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio and the Azimut-Benetti R&D department, following an earlier version on the Trideck.

The hull’s wave piercer reduces consumption, with peaks in efficiency of up to 40 per cent at displacement speed compared to traditional hard chine hulls.
