by Benetti has released its new Motopanfilo 37M, inspired by classic nautical traditions and featuring elegant areas from the beach club to the fifth-level observation deck.
Benetti hosted the world premiere of its new Motopanfilo 37M at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September before staging the model’s US debut in the Superyacht Village at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 27-31. The Motopanfilo 37M is Benetti’s newest Class yacht and has been inspired Benetti’s navettas from the 1960s. The exterior lines by Francesco Struglia with Benetti echo the vintage style of the period, joining hull and superstructure to create a clean-cut profile.
The yacht features an intricate, remarkably light interior design by Claudio Lazzarini and Carl Pickering of Lazzarini Pickering Architetti, who focused on nautical elements recalling the indoor stylings of classic boats. The striking décor is by Loro Piana Interiors, which has chosen classic fabrics for summer on the water and used linen in shades of white, blue and malachite, also in some exterior areas.
The main-deck saloon features modern-style glazed surfaces, gently curved ceilings and extensive use of warm wood and light colours for the floors, while the owner’s suite is forward. On the lower deck, which is connected by a spiral staircase, the four guest cabins follow the gentle curve of the hull, with Lazzarini Pickering’s ‘rib structure again on display.
The stern has a long transom that folds out onto the sea, while a white fold-out canopy can cover the main beach club area.
The enclosed upper deck includes the wheelhouse, the open aft area has a lounging area while there’s a large jacuzzi on the foredeck. The sun deck is the fourth level and offers covered alfresco dining under the hard top, while there’s even a fifth level, with a gorgeous observation deck allowing a couple to have a cosy ‘sheltered nook’ and enjoy panoramic views from above the hardtop.
Meanwhile, Benetti’s FB274 Zazou made her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show after her spectacular launch in April. The fully custom 65m superyacht features an exterior by Giorgio Cassetta and a hull in Carinthia blue, while Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design handled the interior and some exterior areas.
In October, Benetti launched the third unit of its Diamond 44M, Lucky Wave, down its historie 56m inclined slipway in Viareggio. The Diamond M is the fibreglass flagship of Benetti’s Class models and has a 102sqm sun deck, which the builder describes as the largest on the market for this size. There are three more units under construction.
