First Yacht 53, the story of which started with a design competition in 2016, was launched with a colorful ceremony in Cannes. Thus, with the first new First model of 10 years, Beneteau made a significant breakthrough in the luxury region of the speed boat market.
This fully Italian design boat is a strong model with many aspects to worry competitors, especially when the prices are compared; Beneteau states that the boat has the same volumes as the Solaris 55, which is 40 percent more expensive.
The width of 5m, which is carried up to the noticeable ass immediately. The reverse sloping deck supports the threatening view, while increasing the ceiling height in the interior and the upper building remains as low as possible.
Beneteau estimates that the First Yacht 53 will have around 90 percent of trip use, so the boat garage is an important feature. But the real surprise comes indoors, and the model manages to attract the buyer with a more luxurious look than expected from a First.
The unusual aspect of the three-chamber layout is that the majority of the lounge area is divided into a sitting area with a small table on the opposite side. “Usually they have a couple and friends or families on the boat, so their way of using the boat led us to such a design,” says Damien Jacob from Beneteau. In larger models, Beneteau now uses an application called “Ship Control” that provides easy access to all the boat’s systems.
In other places, with the insistence of designer Lorenzo Argento, it is a pleasure to see that round laths and furniture are turned into round sections. Especially the head cabin is very attractive with its practical layout that enhances the sense of volume with shower on one side and toilet on the other.
